How does it work?
HeyBuddy is easy to use and set up! Over 300,000 pet parents are using HeyBuddy to help with their pets' safety. When someone finds your pet, they can scan the device with any phone to pull up your pet's unique digital profile. This profile can contain over 30 customizations that help ensure the quick return of your pet. You'll be alerted instantly when it's scanned, and the scanner doesn't need any app or special device to see your pet's profile.
Who can see my pet’s information?
Our intuitive privacy control panel lets you manage information for each pet on your account. You can choose which details to show or hide, and your pet's information is only visible to people who either scan the tag or have access to your pet's unique web URL that you've shared.
Can I track my pet?
Yes! When your pet is found, the scanner can send you your pet's exact location. This can help with the quick return of your pet. You will also be alerted instantly when your pet's device is scanned. We recommend turning on text and email alert notifications.

Do I need a subscription?
No! You do not need a subscription to scan. You can fully setup your pet’s profile and get push notification alerts instantly.
Why this over a microchip?
Microchips are great! There's no doubt about it; however, microchips can only be scanned with an RFID reader that mostly only veterinarians or shelters have. Our QR code technology allows anyone with a phone to scan your pet's profile and view their information. Another factor is that most microchip software is outdated. For instance, we can send you instant alerts when your pet's tag is scanned and even instantly generate a lost pet flyer if your pet goes missing.
